Halloween

Halloween in England....On October 31st, we celebrate Halloween, thought to be the one night of the year when ghosts, witches, and fairies are especially active.

Halloween Costumes

It's traditional for people (especially children) to dress up at Halloween. In the past this wasn't done just for fun, it was thought that the costume would confuse any evil spirits so they wouldn't play any pranks on you.

What does Amy do in England for Halloween?

Ask her !

Amy has Big parties with her friends. They dress up in Fancy dress costumes. Like ghosts, witches, vampires, cats, skeletons and more !

At the parties it is typical to have lots of sweets

We make pumpkins, cut out the face ( like in the video) and put a candle in the middle,
Then we put the pumpkin outside by the front door of the house.

At the party we play games, especially for the kids.
We play 'apple bobbing'

We decorate the house with scary things!
